SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for suspected involvement in loansharking activities.

He was arrested in Hougang Central on Monday night.

Two mobile phones, a black note book with suspected debtors' records and S$1,200 cash which were found on him were seized as evidence by the police.

Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that the suspect, who is a debtor, was believed to have assisted a loanshark in his business by collecting loan repayments from other debtors.
