SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 30-year-old man believed to be responsible for a snatch theft in Ang Mo Kio earlier this month.
He's believed to have made off with a woman's handbag while she was waiting for the lift at Blk 572 Ang Mo Kio with her two children on August 2.
The handbag contained cash, hand phones and other valuables amounting to about a thousand dollars in total.
The suspect was arrested early this morning near Ang Mo Kio Ave 4.
He'll be charged in court tomorrow.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to seven years and shall be liable to caning.
