Even though SG is multicultural, the tares from every community was eradicated systematically making ways for the living to have a Quality lifestyle. This is what I call purging of TARES. ❖ LKY WAS A SECRET AGENT TO JAPAN DURING COLONIAL RULE
In, early 1940s, during the colonial rule, his Japanese proficiency helped him to land in job as a clerk in the Japanese military department in Singapore. Japanese started this secret military department during the colonial rule and LKY secretly joined them becsue of his Japanese and English skills. While working for the Japanese military department as a clerk, LKY was transcribing Allied wire reports for the Japanese. He listened to Allied radio stations and wrote down what they were reporting about the Hodobu office. It is not an easy task. He must know both English and Japanese very well. Within few months, LKY was very close with several higher-ranking military officers while working as a clerk (secret services agent). PAP censored this truth from LKY's biography)
❖ LKY WAS PROMOTED TO PROPAGANDA DEPARTMENT (Hōdōbu)
Lee claimed he loved to sing “Kimigayo”, the Japanese national anthem even before the Japanese occupation. Because of his royalty with Japanese, LKY officially landed in the job with the Japanese propaganda department (Hōdōbu) during colonial rule in SG and worked for the Japanese occupation force as an English specialist. Working at the top of the Cathay Building, he was assigned to listen to Allied radio stations for Morse code signals. Propaganda department also overseas those who give wrong information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm Japanese during Colonial rule in SG, LKY was InCharge this department as he is proficient in Chinese, Japanese and English. This is when Japanese invaded Malaya.
❖ BRITAN LOST TO JAPAN
The Japanese took all of Malaya during the Malayan Campaign in little more than two months of LKY's role as a secret service agent and Propaganda specialist. The UK garrison defending Singapore surrendered on 15 February 1942, only a week after the Japanese invasion of Singapore commenced. British Prime Minister Winston Churchill called the fall of Singapore "the worst disaster and largest capitulation in British history. LKY helped Japanese to succeed. Japanese loved LKY.
❖ SOOK CHING MASSACRE
This is when Japanese wanted to get rid of some of the rebellious Chinese in SG and China. LKY (as secret service agent in the propaganda department for Japan) was smart enough to help the Japanese military group to segregate his own rival Chinese men for the massacre cunningly. His proficiency in Japanese, love for Japanese country and his political wisdom helped to eradicate his political enemies from Chinese community alone. Aa true spiritual guy, I can see how he successfully accomplished this.
Whoever identified by Lee were segregated and were taken to the beach to be shot as part of the Sook Ching massacre in Singapore. The death-toll was about 100,000 young men aged between 18 and 50 of Chinese race. The massacre took place from 18 February to 4 March 1942 at various places in the region.
❖ END OF JAPANESE OCCUPATION & COLONIAL RULE AGAIN
United States detonated an atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6th and 8th August 1945, respectively,
Emperor Hirohito announced via radio address the surrender of Japan to the Allies on 15th August 1945. After the war, it was both the Lion (Satan) and the dragon (Serpent) who helped Lee to go to England and read Law. After leaving Cambridge, Lee decided to omit his English name, Harry, and simply be known as Lee Kuan Yew, although to this day, old comrades and English friends still refer to him as Harry Lee. This would give him recognition more of a local Chinese.
