I REFER to last Friday's letter, 'Anti-social acts stretch police resources'.
We would like to thank Madam Doreen Tan for acknowledging the problems and challenges faced by the police when managing anti-social acts.
Police will respond to all incidents which have law-and-order implications. However, given the current security climate, police have to prioritise and deploy scarce resources to tackle the twin challenges of crime and terrorism as they are directly connected to the safety and security of the community.
Nonetheless, police are continually reviewing our response to various non-crime incidents in consultation with other agencies so we can better serve the public in our core functions. DSP Paul Tay
Assistant Director (Media Relations)

THE Police literally made a laughing stock on themselves on this. Even a kid would laugh at this pic.

SG Police really have lots to do...

Not wonder Ms Sylvia Lim of the Workers' Party said,

"'What I think is constructive...is to step back and have a thorough review of the increasing demands on the MHA, the resources needed and how to ensure that the public interest is protected,' she said.

'I am aware of how heavily deployed the Home Team has been in recent years,' she added, citing counter-terrorism activities and the strain of hosting large-scale events like international conferences. (Including above Picture)

She pointed to the growing population as another strain, as more firemen and police officers would be needed, for example."

A picture paints a thousand words!

Why are the rankless foot-soldiers usually Malays, Indians and ugly Chinese ?

Those selected foot-soldiers attended this event most likely are contracted like any other day events !

Nameless !
