Police looking for car owner who placed police vest on dashboard and parked illegally

IPOH: Police are tracking the owner of a car who placed a police vest on the car's dashboard and parked illegally, causing congestion to road users.

The incident was believed to have happened in Persiaran Brash near Sultan Abdul Aziz Recreational Park (Padang Polo) here which has also gone viral on social media.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said that police became aware of the picture which was shared on a Twitter account yesterday.

He said that the posting showed that the owner of the black Proton Saga had placed a police vest on the car's dashboard and parked illegally, causing traffic congestion along the road.

"Following this, police are also looking for the individual who uploaded the pictures to assist in the investigation.

"The person could contact Ipoh Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Deputy Superintendent Koo Boon Kuat at 016-4173 2222 to help identify the owner of the car," he said in a statement.

He also advised the public not to speculate on the matter as it could interfere with the police investigation and damage the police's reputation.
