Police arrest two youths for armed robbery at Upper Jurong Road

SINGAPORE - Police have arrested two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, for their suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery which took place along Upper Jurong Road on January 16, 2015.
At12.25 am, a 29-year-old man was robbed of his mobile phones along Upper Jurong Rd by suspects wielding a knife.
Officers from Jurong Police Division conducted extensive follow up investigations and managed to establish the identities of the two suspects. They were arrested along Tah Ching Rd on January 28 at about 4.40 pm.
Both suspects will be charged in court on January 30 for the offence of armed robbery, which carries a maximum jail term of 10 years and up to 12 strokes of cane.
