If the party members care to give even the slightest comment, the people will care. They don't have tobe economists to comment about the economy. And the comments must be constructive not just that of airing dirty linen.
Chee has commented before in his book "Dare to Change" and "Your Future My Faith Our Freedom" etc, if you care to read.

Singapore was already a successful trading centre and a best place in this region even before Lee Kuan Yew was born in Indonesia. LKY's forefathers wouldn't have come in search of better life if Singapore was not a thriving entrepot.
Without fascist LKY, we wouldn't have to put up with an incompetent, inefficient son who is disliked by even those in the ruling PAP itself.
