This is how PAP will win in election. Those English Speaking, Malay Speaking and Tamil Speaking join force in PA, NTUC, CC and RC to help PAP in General Election. Minority Chinese speaking always think democracy is alive in Singapore but during General Election nobody come and help opposition. Mojority get 66% and minority get 33%.

SINGAPORE: Two grassroots committees which take care of the activities and programmes for the Malay and Indian communities have been formalised within the Peoples' Association as of March this year.

The Malay and Indian Activity Executive Committees will now be enhanced to be in line with other executive committees within Community Centre Management Committees like the Women's Executive Committee and Youth Executive Committee.

The Peoples' Association said this is in recognition of their larger role in promoting racial harmony.

Among the key tasks now, having programmes to integrate new citizens into the community and society and helping those who need assistance as a result of the economic downturn.

Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister-In-Charge of Malay/Muslim Affairs, Advisor, Malay Activity Executive Committee, said: "For me, we should be proud that the minority activists, the Indians and the Malays who have been quietly participating at the CCs, have been recognised and with this recognition. We should expect more from them so that they can work together with the other grassroots leaders to enhance the main objective of PA's mission is to enhance social cohesion."

Dr Balaji Sadasivan, Senior Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, Advisor, Indian Activity Executive Committee, said: "Every RC, NC and CC has got IAC members and they know what is happening to their neighbours, any problems, people with financial difficulties, children not doing well in school. Sinda, with contributions from the community runs tuition centres and family service centres.

“By having synergy between Narpani and Sinda, Narpani can serve as the eyes and hands of Sinda to ensure that those who need help get help. This is very important in this economic downturn." - CNA/vm

1) Malay and India work very close to PAP, if they lose jobs. They will tell PAP, they are not happy due to their supporters are losing jobl.

2) Elite work very close to PAP, if they supporter lose jobs. They will tell PAP, they are not happy because their supporters had income gap problem and lose jobs

3) Elite employed many work permit holders. Local workers and work permit unhappy due to working oppurtunities and working environment problem. They will informed PAP.

SINGAPORE: North Korean President Kim Yong Nam is on a working visit to Singapore from May 6 to 8.

According to a statement from Singapore's Foreign Affairs Ministry, this is his second visit to Singapore in his capacity as the President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly.

Mr Kim last visited Singapore in August 2007.

While in Singapore, Mr Kim will call on President S R Nathan, who will host him to dinner. -CNA/vm
