ISIS releases ‘suicide video’ of alleged Germany axe attacker

Islamic State has released footage that allegedly depicts the teenager responsible for the axe and knife terror attack on a German train.
Although the attack suspect is yet to be identified by German officials, the boy in the video has been identified as Muhammad Riyad.
Released through the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq, the footage shows Riyad gesturing to the camera with a large knife, allegedly preparing for a suicide mission.

“I am one of the soldiers of the Islamic Caliphate, and I am going to conduct a martyrdom operation in Germany,” Riyad says in the video, speaking in an Afghan dialect known as Pashto, according to Interntional Business Times.

“It is about time to stop you from coming to our homes, killing our families, and getting away with it.
“The time has passed when you would come to our homeland and kill our men, our women and our children.
“And your apostate rulers were silent about these massacres."
The statement from Islamic State declared that the suspect was “one of the fighters of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in answer to the calls to target the countries of the coalition fighting the Islamic State.”
Police shot a 17-year-old Afghan refugee dead after he attacked passengers on a train on the outskirts of Wuerzburg.
A total of 18 people were injured in the attack; the first in Germany to be claimed by Islamic State.
A hand-painted flag of Islamic State was found by police in the attacker's bedroom, Bavaria’s Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said.
The 17-year-old had allegedly arrived in Germany as an unaccompanied minor.
