SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 45-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a break-in at Blk 620 Hougang Avenue 8 on Wednesday afternoon.
He made off with jewellery and cash with a total value of about S$6,500.
There were no signs of forced entry but the house spare key was missing.
This led to the suspicion that the culprit might be known to the house owner and had visited the premises.
Police managed to trace and arrest the culprit near Blk 114 Hougang Avenue 1 at about 8.00pm on Tuesday.
The suspect had already pawned away the stolen jewellery but which had since been recovered by the Police.
Investigations are still on-going.
If convicted, he could be jailed up to 10 years.
