Marijuana To Be Legalized in Canada on April 20th 2016 (420)
ONTARIO – It has only been a week since liberal party leader Justin Trudeau won the election and will be taking office from current prime minister Stephen Harper sometime this week.
Justin Trudeau on the behalf of the liberal party has announced the official date of which marijuana will be legalized in Canada; April 20th 2016. This day of the year was chosen by the liberal party to honor which is known as ‘National Weed Day’.
April 20th 2016 is nearly six months away from now and is set to be a defining moment in Canadian history as it will also be the opening of over 200 marijuana stores across Canada which are expected to earn the Canadian government a total of over $2,000,000 from taxes on only the first day.
Six month gives enough time for the Canadian government to put together the new laws of marijuana. Any violation of the laws of marijuana was said to result in an up to $10,000 fine for better control.
Cheers!
