This illustration makes the assumption that the electricity is being generated via 100% non renewable sources which is not the case in many countries.
For example in NZ the majority of electricity generation is thermal and hydro so it definitely is advantageous to use an EV rather than an ICE car.
EV is the transition of AV.
No one will drive from a PV to a AV. So EV is the transition that will take place

Imagine, you have to sit at one corner to wait for your car to charged up ( not forgetting u need to locate a charging station too, you cannot drive up to ulu place that has no such station, hey you can buy a powerbank for it, get 500 of them to do the job, maybe), just like your freaking phone and still paying installment for it. i look at it in the IQ level perspective.
