STOMPer Kelvin Ho says this escalator at Kembangan MRT suddenly broke down with a bang so loud he thought a train had crashed.

The STOMPer wrote:

"The escalator at Kembangan MRT suddenly gave way.

"This happened on Saturday, June 16, at about 6pm.

"I heard a very loud sound.

"At first I though a train had collided or something.

"I went over to the escalator and saw this.

"Luckily no one appeared to have been hurt."

These are not bizarre accidents, but expected consequences from overcrowding and insatiable greed of the FAP.

Just like most other things in Singapore now, they're:

1) broken down
2) neglected
3) ugly

It is evidently clear that they have been skimping on maintenance for maximum profits (good SMRT share dividends eh?). The worrying thing is that Town Councils are also skimping on lift maintenance. Falling through an escalator cave-in may break your bones. Plunging ten floors down a lift shaft will most certainly kill you.

This happened when I took the escalator, next time I take the stairs okay?

I should cut down on Malay food or I may end up looking like them. But lucky at least I still look handsome.
