A research team in China said it had developed a new “cell factory” to accelerate the expansion of lab-grown animal cells, making it possible to industrialise cultured meat.

Cultured meat technology – which grows genuine meat by cultivating animal cells in a lab – is seen as a promising alternative for producing healthier and more sustainable protein.

This is a religion to them, they genuinely believe that eating fake GMO meat will save the planet, because no farming = no carbon emissions.

It's a death cult, straight from the pits of hell. Remember that S-word.

Well said. Net Zero cultists ideology is to shutdown all kinds of farm - not just meat producing farm. In the end, even fruits and vege must be Lab-grown to achieve Net Zero. Who Own the Lab ? Only BigCorp or State-owned Corp. In the end, the whole world become 21st century Soviet Union every damn thing is State-owned State controlled. You got to worship the State. It's going to be a real hell hole.

I would rather eat crickets and larvae like the Thais, Cambodians and Laotians before eating lab grown meat

Most lab-grown meats are cultured using fetal bovine serum (FBS). FBS is the harvesting of blood from the bovine fetus after the fetus is removed from the slaughtered cow.

I don't want to scare you that the serum may risk Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE), commonly referred to as Mad Cow Disease, but don't say you don't kill animals when culturing lab-grown meats.

fetus still suffer.

People don't realise that in instant noodle generation. Eat no problem now doesn't mean no problem 5 to 10 years down the road. Time will tell their stupidity.
