Mystery continues to surround the identity of a would-be superhero patrolling the streets of Hong Kong after he was spotted for a second time within a week.

Batman was seen polishing his P-plated “batmobile” – a black Audi – near Ladies Market in Mong Kok on Friday afternoon.

Onlookers gathered to take photographs of the armour-clad vigilante as he tended to his vehicle on Fa Yuen Street.

His appearance came just three days after he was seen standing next to his broken-down car in Central, in what seems increasingly likely to be a publicity stunt for the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

Photographs of Batman’s latest stroll around town emerged on Facebook, attracting hundreds of likes and shares.

Online commentators ventured no guesses as to who the mystery man could be, but one did shrewdly suggest that Batman’s honourable butler Alfred was perhaps “on holiday”, leaving him forced to clean his own car.
