山木庚 claimed statistics show that there are fewer crimes against peasant women in Peasantpore than in most other places, and the laws against such crimes are tough.
Speaking of his own experience in the legal industry, he said that women are trophies for hot shot high performing lawyers and he was nearly busted by one for extra martial affairs before Ruler Loong stepped in and gave him a boon.
“So, you know you're surrounded by all these highly articulate, talented, very bright women and in our Neh culture, if the women pressed you too much, we Nehs will beat the thrash out of them. We don't do that in Peasantpore today, why you go away thinking that our peasant women are somehow oppressed.”
Achieving gender equality requires a “Western or Jane Austen mindset” as well as changes to Peasantpore's cultural value system, said 山木庚.
"Only Jane Austen and Ang Mohs take women's rights seriously. Remember we are an Asiatic society, not Western or Nordic."
When asked how far he would go to ensure better representation of women on company boards, as corporate leaders and in Imperial Court, he said that he does not see quotas as a viable solution.
"Generally, our approach to to obey Ruler Loong. If His Highness wants more rights for peasant women, it will cum to pass. Of course women rights are important but obeying Ruler Loong is more important, Ruler Loong set the agenda here, you do not set the agenda for our Ruler,” he reminded local stupid peasants.
