10 arrested in joint blitz for drug offences, Women's Charter violations

SINGAPORE - A total of 10 people were arrested by the authorities during a 17-hour joint enforcement operation on Tuesday (Jan 26).
Seven men and one woman were arrested for drug-related offences, while the remaining two men were arrested for offences under the Provisions of the Women's Charter.
The operation was jointly conducted by police officers from Ang Mo Kio Division, as well as the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) Enforcement "F" Division and supported by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers.
The officers carried out checks at public entertainment outlets and public housing estates in Ang Mo Kio, Punggol, Sembawang, Serangoon and Yishun.
Investigations are ongoing.
