Everyone has different tastes when it comes to attire, and as long as the attire fits the setting and isn’t too revealing, then it should entirely be up to the person to decide how he/she wants to dress up.​

For one Malaysian however, the sight of seeing men wearing shorts in public seem to bother him to no end, so much so that he took to Facebook to criticise it.

M’sian rants about men wearing shorts in public​

In a post which was reshared to the Facebook group 大马资讯网 on July 7, a man expressed his shock and displeasure over the sight of men wearing shorts in malls while he was strolling around in KL.

In the caption, he wrote that many men wore shorts which were above their knees and exposed their legs for all to see.

“Thirty years ago, men used to wear long pants or knee-length trousers when they went out. Now? The shorter, the better! If they could wear it as high as their underwear, they would!

I really don’t know where they learned this from. Some even squeeze themselves into tight pants, revealing the shape of their buttocks!

The man also slammed those who paired shorts with socks, claiming that it would set a bad example for children to follow.

“If you really want to flaunt your thighs, please don’t do it in public! We live in a multicultural environment so please respect those around you!”

‘My clothes, my choice’​

Needless the say, the man’s complaint didn’t garner much sympathy from netizens, who mocked him for his backward thinking.
