Yup, it's the big one this weekend. Arsenal are in good form after beating Dortmund in the CL on Wednesday and Man Utd seem to be stabilising under Moyes after a shaky start in the EPL.

However, I predict Arsenal to win this one if only because they have Özil and Ramsey. These guys have been the primary reason why they are top of the league.
If they win tomorrow, they have an excellent chance of winning the title and Man Utd will most likely miss out of CL next season and this will be unthinkable to many at Old Trafford.

And by the way they played against R Sociedad, I fear they might not even make it to the knock-out stages this year.

Good test for David Moyes, not so much as a manager of a big club but as a coach and tactician.
If he can outwit Wenger and his team of footballing talent, then he really deserves his new role.

Real Madrid just beat Real Sociedad 5-1, shows how big a gap between Man Utd and the really top european clubs.

Currently, imho, the 2 most interesting coaches and tacticians in world football are Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid and Mauricio Pochettino of Southampton. Getting the best out of their teams, playing good team football and getting results as well.

The thing they have in common is that they were both in the 2002 Argentina world cup squad that lost to England in the group stages via a Beckham penalty. Penalty was won by Owen after Pochettino brought him down. Simeone was of course also responsible for getting Beckham sent off in world cup 1998, where England was knocked out by Argentina.

Yes, Mauricio Pochettino is an interesting character who's worked wonders for Southampton since joining. Saints were in real danger of getting relegated last season and this guy has really turned it around for them. He's clearly brought out the best in his players with three of them (Lambert, Rodriguez and Lallana) being called up by Roy Hodgson for next week's international friendlies against Chile and Germany.

Incidentally, Lallana score a tremendous goal last night against Hull. Top class.

Many players with great potential at Southampton, in addition to those 3 England call-ups, also left back Luke Shaw, right back Nathan Clyne, Frenchman Morgan Schnedelin, teenager James Ward Prowse, etc. Up and coming Uruguyan star Gastan Ramirez and former Roma Italian international Osvaldo can't even get into the first team.

Southampton have a reputation for producing future stars, Walcott and Bale were both from their academy.

Looks like Moyes passed his tactician test, now remains to be seen whether he has the savvy to win something or get into the champions league.

3 big games this weekend, 2 from BPL and 1 from Bundesliga:

Merseyside Derby:
1. Everton vs Liverpool

Everton looking to keep their unbeaten home record and do a number over their rivals.
Liverpool hoping to continue scoring goals with their S&S partnership.
Suarez went back to England from Uruguay by private jet and Sturridge may face a late fitness test.

2. Man City vs Spurs

Man City going great guns at home, but away form is keeping them from running away with the title.
Spurs struggling to score goals so far.

Bundesliga clash of the titans:
3. Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich

Dortmund are struggling with defensive injuries, Hummels, Subotic and Schmelzer are all out.
Ribery has a Rib injury :o and is also out.

Probably a draw but with Suarez in such good form, you never know.

Why can't Man City win away from home? If they're gonna win the League, this must improve. Can Joe Hart capitalise on his England performance? Personally, I think he's a good keeper but the absence of Kompany this season has really exposed City's weakness in defence and left Hart vulnerable.

As for Spurs, after spending millions of $$$ , their most improved (ex QPR) player cost them nothing.

My take for poor away form and weak defense is the same reason - lack of leadership when Kompany is not playing.

At home, they can get away with their usually superior quality, home crowd cheering, familiarity, away team more cautious, etc.
At away grounds, they get beaten by the home team sheer determination.
Margins in the BPL are very small, the moment something is lacking, a top team can be beaten by a bottom half team.
