worse, why did the manager pull out his main striker with time on the clock? why did he allow a dutch to take the penalty kick when the squad full of german? We know the dutch record on penalty in the past. That said, BM play very good passing game, too bad no luck.

He was trying to defend the one goal lead.
Tymoshuck who was playing at centre half because of suspension to Badstuber,
is normally a defensive midfielder. (the co commentator was talking nonsense)
Van Buyten had just come got from a long injury lay off, that's why he was on the bench.

Robben is their first choice penalty taker, he scored a penalty in the second leg against Real.

Who was the co-commentator ah? I was astonished when he said something about Tymoschuk being a defender by trade. Surely they can afford someone who knows his football to commentate?

Dunno, tried to do a search but no luck.
Heard the main commentator calling him "Michael".
Could be an ex player, but he sounded like an ignoramus.
Kept saying that Di Matteo should tell his players they were in blue.

I have. Have you? No you can see the disappointment on their faces. Do you want to lose at home in front of your fans? The CL trophy is Bayern's last hope of winning a silverware but now they ended the season trophy less. The mistake was to pick Robben to take the PK. Experienced keepers who have competed with Bayern Munich or played with Robben knows his favorite left foot. Most of the time it's to the left and always low, so Robben decided to hit 2pm but that did not fool Cech. But it's the power of his shot that keepers have to beat.

Yeah I saw the Bayern players facepalmed, but it's like watching the WWE leh.

You are usually very logical but this post is absurd.

You can't apply logic to sports, that's the problem. Match-fixing at this level is no longer an impossibility. The widespread corruption that FIFA is investigating into (including World Cup matches) is very deep-rooted and no match even if it's a Champions League one played at home or not is not immune. The money is simply too huge to ignore and at times lives are threatened too. The Russians are the best in all these so little wonder that Chelsea with a billionnaire Russian owner could knock out Barcelona and Bayern Munich when everyone can see how lousy its football is.
