Set is a collections of Text, Graphic and Images where you can perform animations on it, individually within the set or collectively as a group.

Some features of Set are:

Clip - the ability to clip it's content using a geometry shape or cliping to it's boundary.
Alignment - currently there are 4 types of alignment and it may behaves differently under certain situations.
Size - The size of Set may change if the alignment type is set to "Vertical" or "Horizontal".
Effects - You can set a Group effect to a Set where it performs the animation on it's content.

Note: A Set has the flexibility to perform animation or effects in a Type Window and Touch Panel. Example within a Scroll or in a Change Window.

How to create a Set.

1. Manually in the object tab - Follow this for how to create a Set manually
2. Dropping images in the Library - Create a Set in the Library
3. Converting a Text to Set.
4. Using the library Shape Generator to generate a clipping of shapes, then drag and drop to your main canvas.

Clipping

Create a window project, add a set, drop your pictures, text or graphic. Next, you either use the tool to draw a line geometry to be used as "Clip" or use any of shapes that you have created.

Next, select your geometry and check "Apply".

Alignment

Alignment is the ability to expand itself thus affecting the default size of the Set. Except for no alignment and alignment type Stack, both of the other Horizontal and Vertical will automatically align the content and affects the size and layout when it is place onto the canvas.

Here's an example.

First we create a simple "Fixed" window project with a few pictures and text. Then we create a library with a Set of pictures. The window size is standard 1024x768, however the pictures of fruit are 800x600. Therefore in the project we set the touch area as 800x600, check to display in the touch pad and omit the text for touches ( use the tool button ).

Set3.png

Entered the touch id and library of the corresponding fruit to set the touches. Play, and click/touch the window to call up the touch pad.

Notice the Set of fruits are loaded as shown, where you can interact it further with the touchpad. However in other occasion we might want to set it up differently without the touchpad. Re-open the library and change the Set alignment to horizontal. Open your project and uncheck "touchpad" and set the size back to 1024x768.

Now, you have to touch the selected fruit, to call up the set of fruits and as you can see it will display horizontally as per your alignment where you can scroll it.

here's the sample.

Group Effect

A group effect is a collective animation applied on members in a Set. Group effect operates in pairs, it needs a second value to determine the starting and ending transformation. For example, if you have 3 values of the same effect applied to a object at different timeline, it is considered as 2 pairs. And only compatible effects are being pair off, non compatible effects are ignored. Commanding parameter are taken from the first leg of the pair.

Here are the current list of effects.

Transformation
Transform an object between it’s first and second value.

Scatter
Same as Transformation but randomize the output value.

Offset
Offset an object by the difference of it’s first and second value, from it’s current value.

Spread
Same as Offset but randomize the output value.

SineWave
Transform an object by applying the sine wave formula between it’s first and second value.

Normalize
Normalize from an object current value to this value. ( Compatible with all the above, and can operate alone )

Color
Transform an object color between the first and second value. ( Text and Shape only )

Here's the sample GroupEffects.rar

Alignment type Stack.

At the moment, this alignment type is supported in a Fixed Window. When places on all other types it behaves like no alignment.

In a Fixed Window, it slides the content one after the other sequentially and allows the user on a touch screen to manipulate with their fingers.
