O-Level exam breach?
By Chai Hung Yin

October 22, 2010

A possible breach in examination procedure for the GCE O-level practicals at a school in the east yesterday has left some students wondering if they would have to retake the paper.

Said a student from the school: "I'm worried whether our results will be voided."

The school realised there was a mix-up when a student who had not taken the Combined Science practical exam was found in the audio-visual theatre, which was the quarantine room for those who had finished the exam.

The students take exams in shifts as the lab cannot hold all of them at once.

She was discovered when the head of the department visited the room.

We are not naming the school or its students as investigations are underway and the students are in the midst of the national examination.

The students affected would not know whether they have to retake the examination until the investigations are over.
