Correction to the above. I just got the letter from MBS. It says $199 is indeed member's rate, but they say their standard room starts at $500. Threw away the letter immediately after reading it.

$500? What a rate..... Might as well use the 500 to cheong slots

I am also not sure how the determine on those so call " promotion rooms rates " for their special privileges members @ MBS. I am a Paiza Gold member and the promotion rates I am given for 22Jan - 25Feb 2015 is at S$275++ / night!!!! :oIo: Not sure what kind of special privileges are they providing to Paiza members considering the amount of $$$$$ we have throw into the dens.

Paiza and no special invite for the peak holiday season. They would normally block off all suites for you guys for free stay.
Their marketing department must be screw up.
Talk to your host or show your card to RWS and see what they can offer you.

Mbs rooms slightly better.
machiam equarius hotel n above.

I've stayed both, mbs face bay v high floor and equarius face forest &/or harbour/pool. Stay mbs once is enuf, you cannot be staring at the view forever, moreover at night you only see your reflection instead of view unless u switched off br lights. Roof pool is like public swimming pool esp weekends crowded noisy. Equarius more tranquil and accessible and enjoyable, esp the villas.

yes Equarius is a bit far from casino, i like to stay in Equarius cause its quiet and big and if your family member like mine going to Adventure Cove . Equarius is the best, entrance is connected to the hotel.

after so many yrs they still debating about casino entry rules, now one miw suggest blanket exclusion orders for all locals i.e. you can't enter casino, if u want u must apply (inclusion order) for entry.

What is miw.

The casino entry rules for local expire this year.

The casinos have grown very fat from their takings from the locals.

Also the social issues is far more important to the gov. now because of problem gambling due to the casinos.

That $100 levy was a very big mistake. First is because it did not keep out the locals and second the casinos made money hand over fist.

I believe korea only has 1 casino in which the locals can enter..
the rest are for foreigners only...locals are ban from entering.

my personal opinion..

the $100 levy goes to the Govt and not into the casino's pockets..( channel to Govt's funds for charity..hopefully ??)

i think the $100 levy does have an effect on those "who feels it not worthwhile to drop in" ?
(there are alot of peoples..who still do not go inside..as they prefer to go KL Genting or cruise ship)

also..at least,,,you do not get "any ah Ter, ah kow" to kacau you..when you play ?
(those who cannot afford to pay $100..should at least do not drop in..)

just hope that they do not increase the levy to higher amount..!

the locals...must have discipline on money matters/management and play for entertainment..

afterall... it's gambling.. and no "sure win"..!

if they do not spent the money in the casino..they would still risk it overseas..
or buy other forms of gamblings or entertainment (4ds,soccer bets.. toto..nightclubs....etc etc..)

the amount of $100 is almost equivalent to the amount cost to travel to KL Genting by car ..
(time factor not taken in consideration..)
