My personal view is the levy just for the govment to pick some money from punter before lose to casino, as a safe guard i dont see any effectiveness, if u dont gamble, u wont go in casino frequently even without levy, if u gamble then 100 levy is nothing since u are not go in to win 100 or lose 100 each time visit, further more if u are high roller than just pay 2k for a year unlimited go in, what is 2k since each hand also bet sound sound thousand, of course it still can stop some ah ma ah pa who only bring 2-3 hundred and travel to leisure world always, 100 to them is too much, but with this 100 levy , the cruise will suck all these ah ma ah pa money and no need to pay tax also, and the govment will lose the tax revenue, and i believe after some professional calculation , the levy collected is far far more than the money that ah ma and ah pa lost in cruise, so the levy is implemented, of course must use the name social safe guard otherwise 出师无名, if really want to block increase the daily levy to 500 or 1k, then i believe if u are just a normal income earner sure will not go in casino, haiz... but want to take care casino revenue at the same time then talk about 100 social safe guard , who believe?

yes..the $100..is nothing to Big timers and high rollers but do make a small impact on those that feels it's
better to save the $100 than drop in for a free cup of coffee + mineral water . (tiod boh ?)

The first order of business for the gov. now is to solve this casino problem gambling situation once and for all.
On a side note RWS did not fulfil their promise of putting on the dolphin show.
MBS got the licence because of their boasting about their convention expertise. But their convention business only brought in $10M per year in revenue and is far short of the gov. expectation.

This game is just another clone of 5D and 5K (more similar to the deluxe versions which is available for 5K at RWS now).
after hearing all the miw debates and suggestion, this would be my guess for the new entry system. all locals cannot go in unless u opt in i.e apply, go for interview, show reasonable cause like finances, dependants. once approved u will have 'passport' to pay 100(maybe higher now); 2000 will be scrapped. may also impose time or money change limit like some countries now doing.
We are all assuming that there will be a change when they might just leave things as status quo. There feasibility and implementation issues to consider and also the time factor. One major consideration is the current annual levy system - if there is indeed going to be a major change of policy which comes into effect in june, shouldn't they stop issuing annual levy purchases 12 months in advance? For e.g. what is going to happen to players who renew or buy an annual levy now and they suddenly change entry requirements in june?
If this happens, confirm most of the locals will stop patronizing the 2 IRS. Who is going to go for stupid interview b4 entering casino. They would just rather go leisure world or genting. So only foreigners will enter, but I think they wouldn't play as much as we do. Most of the time these foreigner will just see see look look.
Why not just close down the whole damn casino even better, rather doing all those stupid interview to curb entry. Once a gambler will always be a gambler, no way to control.

HUAT AH!Sunday nite went to RWS Orchid rm and this is the first time so many CC was available to play, the CC fish really eat me up. loss 8K within 6 hrs playing only $7.50 per spin never had a single 1K and above payout even in bonus round and I had change 6 to 7 machines. , yesterday afternoon went back again but this time play Texas poker and luckily won back 3K+. when playing poker can see that so many empty CC available. seem no one interested CC or cause it's getting tighter?
