A BURGLAR is believed to have sawed his way into an education centre at Eunos Crescent in the early hours of March 30th, 2010. The man tried to enter the vacant centre through its unlocked rear sliding window. The window was blocked by a tall cabinet, but according to staff at the centre, the man managed to saw a hole in the cabinet, pushed his way into the centre, and fled the scene about $1,000 richer.
The burglar was captured on a CCTV camera in the centre. He is believed to be a 1.7m-tall Chinese in his late 40s or early 50s, slim-built with curly shoulder-length hair. The same man is also believed to be responsible for a string of recent cases of break-ins islandwide. He often hits childcare centres and residents' committee centres at HDB void decks after midnight.
