Until the government allows itself to be sued in a civil court- at least- no-one will care as no-one will be held accountable. This cannot be solved by just slapping them on the wrist, or by sacking them. In my opinion, if there's ample reasons of pure negligence by the trainers and the medical stuff, the people in charge should get charged in a criminal court for gross negligence, misconduct and/or failure of discharging one's duties.

I heard he was on a 3 day MC due to leg injury, not sure why he was on the chin up bar. Even he was running, but don't think it would result in death.
The cause of his death is still a big question mark, and I don't think its related to his leg injury. The 3 day MC issue and still on chin up bar, that is another issue to be discussed altogether.

U mean he could land on his hands when coming down from the chin up bar? And pain doesn't emanate? And who are we to judge that pain in the leg is not related to some other more serious problem? He's given 3-day MC. Respect it. Failing which those who wilfully defied it MUST be held accountable for his death. Period.
His parents have raised him for 18 years and this is what they get. How much will SAF pay to his parents? $2k?
If you bother to read carefully, he was not forced to train. He did it voluntarily as chin-up was his weakest area. We need such dedicated NS men who is willing to work hard to keep fit for himself and for the country.

Let this be a lesson to all naive, seow-on boys in NS....it doesn't pay to push yourself. You die for no reason and no one will pity your family. Take care of yourself first, and don't care about what others say about your skivving! That's how i survived till today - i was placed PES A with an undetected heart problem, and found out only during BMT.
