this is something that i don't understand. In such difficult and extreme times, shldn't the MPs be working overdrive to comeup with measures and policies to set things right? Also, with so many issues happening- food poisoning, weak exports, apparent dissatisfaction on the grounds, why aren't important issues being debated and answered? Instead they take recess of one month- for fuck?

I propose that during this one month break, they don't get any pay because apparently they are not working as much as they should.

And the best part, the president will give the speech during the opening session charting the government's direction and policy. Is that a joke? The president, who all the while, does not have executional authority and who do not participate directly in the running of the country shouldn't be making the speech - its not him who decide what the rest of the minister to do - its the PM. Its akin to the Chairman giving a speech telling the workers what the company will be doing - thats the CEO's job. In doing so, he is being relegated to a script-reader -something to justify his fat paycheck?

Obviously the old man is very busy, attending to his wife, taking a nap, fixing things,... Maybe he's writting a new book? His son must wait for his mentor, he obviously can't move out of his fathers shadow, after all his father "founded "Spore lah

Sporeans are on their own. Must wait until things change for the better. Then you will see the PAP coming out to congratulate themselves on a job well done

    All PAP SOP!
