gregory yong was shoe horned and intimidated and got bad advice from his diocese advisors, many of whom are PAP crasslooters. He was presented with evidence of the so called conspiracy, and had doubts about it, but Old Fart brow beat him into buying it. Then he called a live TV conference and ask Gregory Yong to attend it. And during that time, Gregory was asked to read statement disavowing those innocent people and agreeing they were all marxist, and that the church had been infiltrated and used. Gregory should have just stood up to old fart and tell him to fuck off, but he was weak. Problem with the catholic church is they don't understand how powerful they are. There are so many Ministers and MPs that are catholics. They have such a large following in singapore. What can the PAP do? Shut all the churches down? Ban RC like they ban JW? jail all the priests, archbishops, etc. Close all the catholic schools? Not even remotely possible.
Unfortunately, the then Archbishop did not stand up for his folks.
