Chitchat Good Time at Clarke Quay

I went to Clarke Quay last night and had a good time.

This morning woke up and decided to move around the area. Saw a new shopping centre, Havelock 2 near Clarke Quay. Sad state that 90% of the shopping centre is empty. Is this a reflection of the state of SG's economy?

SG has nothing special to offer. One shopping centre is a duplicate of another. The same retail shops are duplicated from Tampines Mall, to Katong I12 to JEM, to Parkway Parade to Nex, to North point, same food courts, etc. A sure recipe for failure

Singapore needs a new team of leaders with fresh ideas to sweep SG clean and create the buzz. The pap is too well fed and too comfortable that they have lost the fire to excel. We need a new team of leaders with energy, ideas and drive to lift SG off the rut.

You need a team of hungry ah nehs, ah tiongs, viets, Burmese, etc with spurs in their hide to lead sg to punch above its weight again.

That's what the new pap wants us to believe as they are lost and dont know the way.

LKY, TCC, GKS, SR showed that what it took for SG to punch above its weight was to get committed people who truly wanted to make life better for Singaporeans and not people who want high salaries as we have now. What we have now is a recipe for disaster which is unfolding before our eyes

Singapore is not called the sick man of asia for nothing.

In 2008/09 when the financial crisis hit, Singapore was also the first hit and the worst hit.

2 casinos, import of tons of cheap foreign pmets, govt bailing out their own GLCs using taxpayer money all did no good

Yes, pap refuses to admit it, but SG is really the new sick man of Asia.

if fundamentally we are on economic quick sand without firm foundation, cheap foreign labour will accelerate our doom
