Since when nasi Lemak got Fried sotong and deep Fried spring chicken?
And green Pandan rice? It's a chink influence.
Also the Kuning fish in the 2nd pic looks too big and not fried enough.....Nasi Padang style rather than Nasi Lemak style.

i'd rather have boneless duck at sam leong road. although not the same as the closed south buona vista joint, at least his relative is running it with family recipe.

There's a popular wanton mee stall at the junction coffee shop from Jalan Besar towards Sam Leong road, char siu often sold out fast during lunch time...went once around 1130am still have to wait 20 min or more....

The stall is taking a short cut, instead of infusing pandan leaves with the rice, they use those bottled pandan essence. While it probably would give a stronger aroma, the down side is the unappetizing green and a slightly chemical aftertaste.

Muar has a famous nasi lemak with Chinese BBQ pork
very famous and the stall auntie can sell the whole pig in one day.
Steam Nasi Lemak (malay call it nasi lemak kukus) with authentic coconut cream and chilli and chinese roast pork
