I didn't call them when I first visited them. Just walked in. They used to close on Fridays, which in JB is their equivalent to a Sunday but they probably have too many patients now?

I once went there when they were supposed to be closed but they opened the clinic to give me treatment. I think the doctor lives onsite when he is in JB. Dr. Zawawi sometimes goes back to KL for a break but it's not the festive season now, so he should be around.

The last time I was there there were 2 doctors there. This numbers may have changed but the senior doctor is Dr Zawawi.

Noted. Luckily you mentioned friday they are closed. Thought of going this coming friday.

I saw on their online site that they are open 7 days a week but even if they are open, some of the staff might be in holiday mood

I also noticed that JB is crowded on Fridays because people are having their day off on that day.

Managed to see that doctor. Some discussion. Was told to go thru chelation therapy. Seems that there are some potential risk undergoing latter therapy. Still considering though..

I've done about 30+ chelation sessions & it takes 3 hours to complete each session. Chelation will deplete some minerals from the body & that is why they will include these minerals in the IV towards the end. What potential risks are you concerned with:confused:

The reason I stopped doing it is because I'm doing OK now & for me sitting there for 3 hours is difficult. I'm also no fan of needles because I've spent plenty of time in a hospital with an IV stuck in my arm.

Go to Queens Street & take either a Spore JB Express or a Causeway Link bus. The fare will cover the cost of reaching JB. It is direct & will drop you off at the Spore immigration. After Spore immigration just go to the bus stop & hop onto the same company bus to the JB side.

If you can afford the $ you can also take a shared cab at Queen Street or get a private cab. This is the most convenient because you can stay in the cab throught the trip to JB.

Wow 30 sessions. I was told to go for 16 sessions. How much per session bro?

After u completed 30 session, u felt alright. How long can the effect of the therapy last? I mean when will one go for the therapy again?

I happened to google and found out there may be some side effects. May affect the kidney too.

There are plenty of people who are against chelation because it is very political. Some see it as a threat to their livelihood e.g. doctors who provide more expensive solutions like stents & open heart surgery. I know a local doctor who has been raided numerous times by the police because he provided chelation to those with heart problems. He still provides the treatment because he sees it as helping people.

For a better idea on the benefits of chelation you should refer to books by Elmer Morton

Bypassing Bypass Surgery: Chelation Therapy: A Non-surgical Treatment for Reversing Arteriosclerosis, Improving Blocked Circulation, and Slowing the Aging Process
https://www.amazon.com/Bypassing-By...UTF8&qid=1484328754&sr=1-4&keywords=chelation

Chelation is not new & has been around since the 1930's. Go read about it at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chelation_therapy
Nowadays with the world being so polluted many people are having health problems which can be traced to the heavy metals in the environment.

In my case a family friend who also had a heart problem suggested I try out chelation when I had my heart attack. This older friend did not do any stents, take statins, or heart surgery. He just did chelation.

I had my heart problems about 10 years ago. Doctor in Spore told me I had 90% blockage. I really felt bad & started to look for a long solutions. That was when I found out that you could get chelation treatments in Kuala Lumpur. While I was at the clinic there they recommended EECP. So I did EECP twice a day & chelation 2 times a week. With chelation you can't do it too often.

After returning to Spore I would go to JB clinic for chelation treatments. Eventually I did a second round of EECP treatments. Chelation is to detox your body. Over time our body will get exposed to heavy metals & that is why it should be done regularly. As we age our bodies become more vulnerable & that is why we have to take precautions.

When I was doing chelation it was around RM$300, I think RM$360.

I don't worry about eating eggs because it is a good source of nutrition. I myself consume organic & free range eggs. The are more expensive but I think worth the extra cost. The anti egg thingee is I think propaganda.

In my humble opinion, I dare say the pro-egg propaganda is the bad propaganda, while the anti-egg propaganda is good:

But since it seems that most of the:
wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_B12
that most people consume come from eggs, vegans (i.e. strict vegetarians, who abstain from all kinds of meat, fish, seafood, eggs and dairy products) have to make an effort to consume at least one 100-microgram Vitamin-B12 tablet everyday:

I'm not sure if you're at least a vegetarian who abstains from meat almost all the time, but I'm afraid authoritynutrition.com is not a perfect authority for nutrition, even though it does have many truly good articles, such as:
authoritynutrition.com/9-reasons-to-avoid-sugar
authoritynutrition.com/6-reasons-why-vegetable-oils-are-toxic
My main reason for not totally trusting authoritynutrition.com is that it is not staunchly anti-meat; it might even be pro-meat:
authoritynutrition.com/7-evidence-based-health-reasons-to-eat-meat

Instead, I highly recommend:

Here's a friendly debate between the above non-vegan Doctor:

and my favourite physician (and the only one I've been recommending so far), the pro-vegan Dr Greger:

Remember Jack Lalane? As a youngster I used to watch his show on RTS(old name of Mediacorpse) back then it was in black & white

He lived until the age of 96 & his recommendations were the follwing:

LaLanne blamed overly processed foods for many health problems. For most of his life, he advocated primarily a meat and vegetable diet; eating meat three times per day with eggs and fruit in the morning and many servings of vegetables in the afternoon and evening.[21] For six years he was a vegetarian. In his later years, he appeared to advocate a mostly meatless diet but which included fish (see pescetarianism),[22][23] and took vitamin supplements.[24][25][26]

In his television programs, he recommended the following meal plan; Breakfast: fruit, eggs and/or meat, and whole wheat toast, Lunch: Large salad, and meat/fish, Dinner: Large salad, two vegetables, meat/fowl, and fruit.[citation needed]

He ate two meals a day and avoided snacks. His breakfast, after working out for two hours, consisted of hard-boiled egg whites, a cup of broth, oatmeal with soy milk and seasonal fruit. For dinner, he and his wife typically ate raw vegetables and egg whites along with fish. He did not drink coffee.[5]

LaLanne said his two simple rules of nutrition are: "if man made it, don't eat it", and "if it tastes good, spit it out."[27] He offered his opinion of the average person's diet:

You can read about his life & achievements & philosophy here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_LaLanne

If you are living in Spore you are likely to die young because of the stresses & worries that is part of living under the PAP:( The environment is not very healthy with the haze, poor air quality even without the haze, dengue, zika, tainted food produce from China & Malaysia.

Many current studies have shown that what Jack Lalanes recommendations were basically correct. After all he did live until 96
I am currently following a semi vegetarian diet, the only meat I consume is organic eggs, free range eggs, & fish. I do break my diet especially when travelling. I don't worry about my egg consumption because I consume very little meat.

A factor that few consider is our genes. I have seen my older male relatives die in their 70's. I don't expect to live past my 70's. My goal is to avoid debilitating illnesses like alzheimer, cancers & strokes.

Is cholesterol really bad for you?

I read somewhere that the pharma companies wanted to sell their statin drugs & started a campaign to convince people that cholesterol is bad for your health. Ignoring the fact that cholesterol is required by our body to function

Smoking was also at one time acceptable because the tobacco companies suppressed studies that showed the health risks.

People have been eating eggs for centuries. It is a good source of nutrition. One has to ask why some people now convinced that it is unhealthy:confused:

Maybe it is because of the hormones & antibiotics that they use to rear chickens:confused: That is why I spend extra $ on imported higher quality eggs e.g. organic, free range eggs,...

I'm afraid this is my first time coming across Jack LaLanne, especially since I was born about two years after RTS became SBC:
wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediacorp#1965-1980: Radio Television Singapore (RTS)
so I suspect you must be old enough to be my father! :o

Yes, I totally agree!

Jack LaLanne obviously had very good genes; but in my opinion, if he had been a vegan (or at least a vegetarian) during the last half-century of his life (i.e. starting from his mid-40s) and not just "for six years", he might have lived until well over 100, and maybe even join these men on:
wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_verified_oldest_men

I have seen my older male relatives die in their 70's. I don't expect to live past my 70's.
Likewise, if:
...currently following a semi vegetarian diet...
really ends up causing you to live until your 70s, then I dare say that a vegan (i.e. strict/full vegetarian) diet has a very good chance of causing you to live until 90! :o

My goal is to avoid debilitating illnesses like alzheimer, cancers & strokes.
I also dare say that it's logical for your chances of contracting those illnesses to decrease significantly the sooner you become a vegan! :o

the only meat I consume is organic eggs, free range eggs, & fish.
A much better/healthier protein alternative is nuts and/or beans (especially soya beans, and I mean eating the actual cooked beans, not "tofu" or "tau kwa"). :o

If you want the best prices for organic eggs/free range eggs go to Nature's Glory. http://www.natures-glory.com/home.asp
They have the farmer brown eggs which is sold in a carton of 10 and Barneys eggs which is sold in a carton of 12. I prefer Barney eggs because of the better value & I have found the quality more consistent i.e. the color of the yolk is darker orange. Call ahead to make sure to reserve because they sometimes run out of stock.

They also have organic produce from Australia & local sources. The Australian produce comes in on Wednesday. The local produce comes in on Tuesday.

For EECP treatment you'll need at least 35, one hour sessions. You can do a maximum of 2 sessions per day e.g. one in the morning & the 2nd in the afternoon. Once you start you want to avoid long delays between each session. otherwise you won't get the full benefit.

I paid about RM$300 to $350/session
