Now that LKY is gone is the PAP targeting golfers ?

It started by the closure of driving ranges in the junction of Sin Ming & Bishan. It is being replaced with a new junior college

Now the PAP has acquired the Jurong Country Club & Rafflesia for the new high speed rail project.

The golfers kena hoot.

Obviously the members were caught off guard. As well some rice bowls are going to be broken.

A restaurant at one of these clubs had just renovated & now they will to move out. The pro shop owner had a golf store at Jurong Town Country Club & was going to move his stocks to his shop at Rafflesia Country Club, but now finds he will also be losing that shop.

Golf is a rich man's sport & many of those affected are probably PAP supporters. LHL is alienating some of his supporters.
I'm not a fan of golf but it reinforces my belief that one should not invest long term in Spore because one never knows when the PAP will steal a business or change the rules.

PAP couldn't care less about the thousand plus golfers la. They want to have the HSR legacy (just like Madhater's crooked bridge) in CNA's name before he step down as well as boost GDP are their ONLY objectives in their lives as it pays their salaries and bonus.

PAP's ammunitions are all only focus on AHTC. Just need wait for the next installment soon, after their own recent embarrassments subsided.

When the URA Jurong Lake District was conceived in circa 2008, there was not mention of an innovation hub. Its only in recent years that they realised that they had do something to attract the IT firms from Silicon valley and elsewhere. And Jurong Country Club was acquired to expand the space. Keppel Club members who had already being served noticed happily went over to buy into Jurong Country Cub and got screwed within months. Everyone got screwed. They however conveniently named it on the HSR. Last minute planning!!
