Chitchat GCT Laments Not Being Appreciated

Goh Chok Tong lamented about his party's declining popularity saying that younger Singaporeans are not like the older generation, and that their bond with the ruling party PAP are "less instinctive and more transactional".

He also recounted that the 2011 General Election was his low point and lamented that Marine Parade voters did not think about what he has done for Singapore when he was PM:

“When the result for Marine Parade was announced, I felt the deep disappointment and gloom in our supporters. I too did not expect Marine Parade GRC to poll only 55 per cent. What you had done for the people as an MP or PM did not matter as much as the prevailing mood of the people.”

PAP is transactional when they deal with Singaporeans.But they expect Singaporeans to appreciate and be thankful to them.Why shd we? When GCT and LHL leave the political scene, they must know that they are nobodies.They must not expect to be appreciated for life

It would have declined further if it had not been for the Lees. Look at Taiwan. Are they better off or worse without the Chiangs? :confused:

Wooden Goh clearly has the entitlement mentality. What the fuck he expects all sinkies to be grateful for for making sinkieland less liveable except for the upper income folks. Do all citizens thank the CEO of apple/Samsung for producing profit making products? Do senior management who fail to perform gets praised? Do those who earns millions for not doing much except for pursuing their self -interests get appreciated? He's telling the wrong crowd, he should be saying this to his peanuts wife, quitter daughter and his other family members whom he'll leave his millions or more for leeching on sinkie taxpayers.

SBF forumners seem to have Wooden's short memory, or selective memory or dementia. The reason why his GRC MArine PArade did so poorly and polled only 55% was due to 3 words. Tin Pei Ling. When they parachuted Kate Spade Tin into MP GRC, they were insulting the voters there and the voters punished him for allowing her to ride his coat tails into Parliament. She is zikapore's equivalent of a Blonde Bimbo, without 2 IQ points to rub between her fingers. Her sole redeeming feature appears to be the ability to open her legs and fuck Gay Loong's private secretary and get this $16K a month jiak kiao bee gig. Voters who were already fed up with scholar ex SAf generals parachuting into parliament realize that by far, she was a new low. She makes kee Chiu and TCJ look like Winston Churchill. The MP voters did not like the PAP and Wooden to take liberties with their election like that and it made Wooden's and the PAP's claim of meritocracy an outright lie. that is why he polled 55%. I hope one or more of his entourage of porlumpars is reading this and reminding Wooden the real reason he polled only 55%.

Yes, the crime was obvious. The Lees took more than standard discount and the discount given was illegal as shareholders consent was not obtained. But GCT didnt have the courage to tell the Lees off.
