(1) A police officer or a member of the Customs and Excise Service may at any time seize, remove and detain any arms or ammunition or imitation firearm if he has reason to suspect that an offence under this Ordinance is being or has been committed in respect thereof or that the arms or ammunition or imitation firearm have been abandoned.

It is not Hong Kong's fault for not releasing the vehicles. It is PAP who insist that Hong Kong must give official reason for detaining before PAP can start initiating procedure to recover the vehicles. PAP still wants to pursue legal route and walk the moral high ground LOL.

There is a Malaysian Chinese guy who runs a small stall at a Sunday market in the carpark of a major mall in Joburg and he makes the best beef rending and sambal fried fish. His reputation has spread that cabin crew flock to his stall for lunch. These are the guys that you have take your hat off to - create their own roads.

That is why when the HKG customs inspected the vehicles, they were shocked to see taiwanese military vehicles, when then manifest said singapore vehicles.
Not all singaporeans that moved overseas were a resounding success. But even the ones that were moderately successful or average, were very happy. years ago when I went to vancouver to visit my friend Wilfred Skinner, he was just a small time contractor. He did home renos for people, like renoing kitchens and bathrooms. really small time stuff, usually only he was doing it or maybe one helper. He was not some big contractor doing big projects. But he was happy. He supported his family comfortably, worked when he wanted to, his quality of life was much better then in zikapore. The main point was that he was contended and not stress and enjoyed his life. that cannot be said of most zikaporeans.
