Police yesterday advised the public to be careful when trading online in binary options, noting that there has been a sharp rise in complaints involving such trading.

In binary options trading, investors try to predict if the price of a financial product - shares or currencies, for instance - will be above or below a specified price at a specified point in time, ranging from a few minutes to a few months in the future.

They receive a fixed amount of money if the prediction is correct, or lose the investment otherwise.


Police said the Commercial Affairs Department has received more than 30 reports from investors who have lost more than $1 million to unregulated binary options trading platforms.

Police said most investors, encouraged by initial profits or promises of more bonuses, found it difficult to stop at investing a small amount and would continue investing more. They either lost all their money or could not withdraw the money in their accounts. Some also had unauthorised withdrawals made on their debit or credit cards after giving their card details for payment.

Police said that most binary options trading platforms are unregulated entities that claim to be based in places such as Britain, Cyprus and Hong Kong. Victims faced difficulties contacting the foreign operators when things went wrong.


Police said it is "extremely easy" for an investor to lose his entire investment.

"It is difficult to make the correct prediction, especially when the time to expiry of the binary option is short. Due to the short timeframe, it is very likely that you cannot change your prediction or re-sell your option once you make your investment," it said.

Police advised the public to note the following when considering binary options trading:

•It is a "high-risk investment", even when offered by legitimate sellers.

•The Monetary Authority of Singapore keeps a list of licensed players and an "investor alert" list of investment service providers that are not licensed. Investors can check these lists to find out which players are regulated.

•Binary options offered by regulated entities may not be regulated. When in doubt, check with the regulated entity before investing in binary options that it offers.

•Be wary of third-party reviews of binary options providers, who may have paid for such reviews.

Binary options is online betting. Instead of digital dices, it is betting price action of market commodities.

However, if you have a clear system of trading the price action, you can develop a strategy to give you at least 60% win/loss ratio.

Unlike traditional trading, binary option built like the casino to have the winning edge skewed to the side of the house. The payout is 80% to 90% of the bet amount if you win, and if you lose, you lose 100% of the bet.
However, if your trade entry strategy can produce on average of at least 60% win/loss ratio, you can bring back that edge to your side just like how professional gamblers played Black Jack with card counting. The down side is the Binary Options brokers themselves. If they are not regulated, they can kick you out of the account without giving you your winnings.

If you are able to get a "reputable" properly regulated broker, you might just able to make it into professional "bet" trader with Binary Options.

It shows you know nothing about price action to play binary options. It is simple if you have a clear understanding of price actions and candlestick formation. The only problem here is the broker not giving you the money you have won. It is not if you can make money with Binary Options using price action, it is whether you can take out your winnings from the broker you trade with.

Another example of live trade with real money account. Like I've said, it is not whether you can make money with Binary Options, it is whether you can withdraw your money from the broker you trade in.

Like I've said, you know nothing about the subject and you pretend to know everything. You are a failure in Binary Options because you don't have a good price action strategy that gives you an average of at least 60% win/loss ratio.

I am trading Binary Options and yes, I am making money because I know what I am doing and know what my risk are. I have not loss money in Binary Options because of the trades, in fact I loss money because the broker ran away with my winning money! Luckily, not all brokers are like that. I have 2 Binary brokers now and I don't keep all my winning money there. I withdraw as and when I make a few hundreds. Not a lot, but at least I don't want to get stuck like previously.

So yes, I know what Binary option is because I am trading it unlike idiots like you who know nothing but pretend to know some.

Here is another Singaporean guy trading Binary options and is quite successful with it. I am not as wild as he is, but I am happy with my few hundred dollars wins.

Also, just to add, the Singaporean guy in the video loss money to the same broker I loss money to. The scam broker is called GOption. He loss millions while I just loss only a few hundred. The broker refuses to allow us withdraw our winnings.

I have already more than doubled my account with both brokers and withdrew money from them.

You failed because you don't know how to trade binary options. It is not like the traditional trading. Fundamental has no place in this as the duration is extremely short.
It is basically a bet on the next candlestick black or white. Be it 1min, 5 mins or 10mins or even 1 hr candlestick, it has the same principle as black jack card counting.

Like card counting in Black Jack, you don't bet on every game, you wait for the cards to have the highest probability in you favour before you place a bet. So, in Binary options, you place your bet when the conditions or setups, be it support or resistance setup, or indicators setups, you wait for the condition where the next 1min, 5mins or whatever time period candlestick, has the most chance of black or white candlestick you are betting. If you can develop such a strategy where you are more than 60% of the time correct, you have a good trading strategy to trade Binary options.

Apart from broker problem, the problem with people not making money in Binary options are that they don't have patience and discipline to wait for the setup or that they don't have a good strategy that gives them consistently at least 60% win/loss ratio.

i bet binary options is a completely legitimate tool of trading or derivative but the trading brokers market it to stupid sinkies like some form of easy get rich quick soccer betting where u have to bet between a range of goals or outcomes and is low risk high profit and it has a high percentage chance of winning like 40 to 60 ratio,so even if it seems they are winning often the truth is they are bleeding slowly to death like a stuck pig at a casino.

I believe as it's in real time and betting on the market you can make money just as you can lose.
The scams were from those commodities bucket shops of old where you were betting against the broking house itself and trades weren't even done in real time.

If you don't even know these basic questions and don't know how to research or search for it, I think it is better for you not to start. You will lose all your money very fast.
