1. Malaysia, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam are siding with China
2. Singapore tries to lecture China and has got a big slap on the face
3. Singapore is siding Myanmar. Malaysia and Indonesia are against Myanmar.
4. Malaysia and Philippines are getting cosy with Trump. SG has angered Trump

There is disunity in ASEAN. Guess which country will end up as the loser?

Looks like Singapore and Myanmar are on one side. Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam are on the other side.

Timor Leste and Brunei are neutral

Guess which country will get isolated?

Malacca port costruction starts in 2017. Half the container ships trading worldwide from asia are chinese. They just move their port from singapore to malacca and turn it into a container hub overnight.no need for kra canal. The other container companies will follow suit.

Malacca Port will diminish the importance of SG port but cant kill PSA and SG.

Malacca Port plus Kra Canal will doubly diminish SG Port and kill SG

Let LHL continue to be arrogant and insult China till Kra Canal comes into fruition

China has invested lots of money into Vietnam, their North is very dependent on Chinese investment. can't see Vietnam not siding with China.

Yes, SG is still very pro USA despite Trump's rebuff. If LHL does not wise up, SG will be the only one on USA's side. The rest are very pro China.

A few small disagreements can hardly be labelled as "disunity". These are just minor differences of opinion that happen from time to time in any relationship.

When these disagreements surface publicly and there were no joint declarations, you know that it is big disunity amongst ASEAN countries. Singapore seems to be the odd ball. Either it was because of VB's poor handling of the situation or it was poor decision by LHL

Singapore often holds a different opinion compared to other countries because the Singapore leadership is far more intelligent and far sighted.

It is plain to see where China is heading. First it targets small Singapore then little by little it will target the other countries in ASEAN, following the divide and rule principle. China is slowly flexing its muscles and all the smaller countries in Asia will be affected.
