Malaysia: Groups of primary school children forced to go through a muddy pit filled with snakes as part of a team building camp.

The girls were heard screaming hysterically in fear as they made their way to the other end of the muddy pool with snakes swimming inside, while the instructors were heard laughing in the background.

According to Malay daily Harian Metro, the said camp was organised by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM)

Perak Civil Defence Colonel Mohd Noor Hassan Ashari Sulaiman explained that they have been conducting such training modules to build of the self-esteem of pupils for the past three years, but stressed that this incident was the first time snakes had been used.

"That's why we are puzzled why the management of the boot camp used that approach because we strictly forbid our personnel from playing or performing using snakes."

"APM is always concerned for the safety of participants and we regret that such incident has occurred although all participants were healthy and safe," he said when contacted by Harian Metro.

It's cheaper than Spore sending kids to climb & die at Mt. Kinabalu

The camp is supposed to be about team building. How does throwing snakes into the pond help with team building

Then how should the girls scream if they were to be thrown into this pool instead?

Get all the trainer's children's who are involved,no need throw so many snakes,just 1will do.See how they react.The parents should lodged a police report against those trainers involved.Those girls were really frightened.

The camp is organised by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force. Report police also no use.
