Just curious. It was reported YY failed to encash 2 insurance policies for funds to pay his lawyer to defend him. The trial had dragged so long and so many court sessions.

How was his lawyer being paid for all the work he'd done defending him? Cannot be pro-brono right? Funds are coming from his family in PRC, which actually originated from the victim which YY sent back to his father? Couldn't these funds be first impounded to pay back the victim?
