The best Nasi Lemak looks like this :

IMG_2491copy-1.jpg

That is the old fashion Nasi Lemak, that has the taste, smell, not necessary the best kuning fish, I prefer anchovies only plus a wallop of pedas chillies, ( not wrapped in plastic bag), that make your lips HOT.

I can't stand the per hyped, ultra expensive punggol nasi lemak. One of the best nasi lemak is found at Golden Shoe Food Centre in the late 70's - early 80...the stall owner had a heart attack & died & stall was closed. I would eat regular at the Nasi Lemak Stall basement of Lucky Plaza...not the best...but considered good enough...( not that cheap though)....it is $3.80 these days.

ponggol nasi lemak is just one bloody fucktard stall, phui phui ...

....the workers purposely create false impression of popularity by working very slowly so that the queue stretch longer and longer, despite three or four of them manning the stall ....at same time charge exorbitant prices....over $4.00 just for chicken wings, egg and nuts.....unfortunately, their shenanigans is much aided by ignorant and stupid customers who think that long queue = ho chiak.

Actually, if you really eat the nasi lemak, other than them adding a lot of coconut into the rice to create fragrant smell, the whole thing is just very ordinary....there are many other nasi lemak stalls selling much better and softer versions with reasonable prices...Hougang Nasi Lemak at Kovan Food Centre, etc.

Any Nasi Lemak that is served on a plate does not do it for me.

Malaysia nasi lemak is the best.

If you wanna eat it, go for the authentic ones.

I do agree that the best nasi lemak is from the 70s and 80s in sinkieland but not now.

if you want to get the taste of the best nasi lemak, go to Malaysia.

I took a picture of the price list & kept it as a reference.....there are people I know are 'nuts" over their overhyped food...I go to that place to eat the rest of the food...like the fried prawn noodle, bak chor mee & at one time, the chee cheong fun with prawns or shiitake mushroom fillings...NEVER THE NASI LEMAK....f$#$^$ expensive .

The best is still those wrap in banana leaf and then another layer using newspaper. Very traditional and authentic. Their chilly is the best and has the kampong taste. These are all found in Malaysia.

Ya dumbfucks. They opened a stall near my place.
Before opening everyday you see goondus milling around queuing up.....
They even have a queue pole like bank.....
Loser sinkies tastebuds got problem.....pay sky high prices for shit food to help owner son pay casino debt.

The best one was the one sold house to house on Sunday by my Malay neighbour.
As a kid I had to wake up early every Sunday morning as designated buyer for the entire family as my mum had gone to the market.
After I grown up the best ones were from across the causeway......small packets on kopitiam table eat how many packets then just pack after that.

I see that the packet Nasi Lemak is making a comeback. Lots of small stalls now offering it. Punggol Nasi Lemak has gone too far and I don't think it can even be classified as Nasi Lemak.

Didnt Pinky order Nasi Lemak for Joki?

From Adam Rd Food Centre....have become another over hyped, over priced food stall...they started a chain of nasi lemak shops in shopping centres...called CRAVE....extremely over priced.....I have one near where I lived, very few customers....one pay $8.90 for a set....just 50m, up the escalators....you get Qiji..selling the same stuff for $4.50 to $5.50 a set, depending of what you want..

Joki is polite enough not to tell that CLOWN..."back home"..it is cheaper, fresher & better...
