SINGAPORE: A 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing motorcycle parts at the Bedok Reservoir estate, police said on Thursday (Aug 25).

In a news release, police said that for the past few months, they have received several reports about motorcycle component parts being stolen from motorcycles parked in Bedok.

Through extensive ground enquiries, police established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on Thursday.

The suspect will be charged in court on Friday for the theft of motorcycle component parts. If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to seven years and shall also be liable to a fine.
