I wish my company won that consultancy bid. Alas, a rival grassroot leader probably won it. I hope he gets invited for coffee soon.

Have AGO have time to look into the Town Councils' repeatedly replacement/redo of pavements, gardens, playgrounds, temporary car parks, etc?

Not that big amount, but done repeatedly and frequently, whichever the contractor, must surely accumulated to big bucks!

Never can understand why they need to redo so frequently. Other countries don't even have proper facilities yet life goes on. Not that must live in poor standards, but redo so frequent really led to suspicions. After all, greasing can only happen when contracts are awarded.

Netizens Claim KL's New Tourism Logo Looks Like It Was Designed Using PowerPoint

Kuala Lumpur Tourism Bureau general manager Noraza Yusof has revealed that the new KL logo and tagline, which was unveiled on Monday, 25 April, cost RM15,000.

The RM15,000 was used for the creation of the logo, tagline, description, rationale and strategy.

According to Noraza, as reported by Malay Mail Online, the whole branding exercise, which will include various promotional activities, was budgeted at RM2.6 million.

Netizens have been questioning the cost of the work ever since it was highlighted by lifestyle portal, Time Out KL, as they claimed that the initiative appears to be an amateur work.

Despite the public ridicule, KL Tourism Bureau general manager Noraza Yusof said that there are no plans to change the logo for now although the KL mayor said the product can still be fine tuned
“We need to educate people and make them understand the brand first, the logo was only launched a few days ago,” Noraza was quoted as saying by Malay Mail Online.

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Mhd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz also defended the rebranding efforts and urged city folk not to jump to conclusions. He also welcomes any suggestions for improvement.

"We are open to improvement, the colour can be changed, anyone who has ideas to improve the logo please do pass the proposal to me so I can table it to the bureau," he was quoted as saying by The Star.

RM16,000 affordable & come at a bargain. How much was the renaming of marina bay to MARINA BAY....they don't even have a bin centre that cost RM1,228,000....bet you, if you construct a bin centre of that amount in KL...ot will be a 1/4 size of Megamall...

The teenager who came up with the name "The budget terminal" only won $2,000 plus a handphone.

So how come someone getting $410,000 for a consultancy fee to construct a bin:confused:
For $410,000 it should be more than enough to build a few of these bins. What has happened to the tender system which is supposed to avoid expensive waste?

Ha ha ha ha...the $410,000 is to dispose of waste..what expensive waste....the waste generated must be expensive. The tender system, there must be one...but who is supervising the tenders?....the same people who approve it, are the same people who will approve the tender..of course, if you go investigate....their will be a few submissions....& you can bet, the rest of the tenders are eliminated on technical grounds etc...no need to explain....

again...if this was the opposition MP in charge of the bin centre for $410,000...YOU CAN BE SURE, IT WILL BE THROUGHLY INVESTIGATED & asked to come clean, be honest...& commit harakiri..
