Look at Taiwan. China has been fire breathing with similar rhetoric about invading Taiwan since 1949. The only thing they managed to do was kick Taiwan out of the UN in 1971. The US has been supplying military equipment to Taiwan for the longest time. The Taiwan Relations Act of 1978 passed by Congress provides for US military intervention if Taiwan is attacked and it is couched in indirect terms. Now you see Taiwanese running massive factories in Mainland China using cheap labor.

Asean, the Philippines and the rest of the World know this. The only fear is China uses money to bribe the vulnerable nations and therefore break regional solidarity. The Philippines already said that it will not celebrate the ruling as a victory and will engage China. Give them 3 years and the Chinese will fun oil exploration as a joint venture with the Philippines in Scarborough Shoal.

In essence if they can't even invade Taiwan, a small Island which is only 180km away from their coastline (similar distance between Muar and Singapore), they certainly not going anywhere near Philippines.

UN members have moved numerous resolutions in the UN in favour of the Palestinians and against Israel which later has never recognised. Winning judgement is one thing, enforcing it is whole different issue. The UN general body has not passed a single resolution in favour of Israel.

Contrary to common perception most states including the Europeans support the Palestinians. The only thing Israel has in its favour is the US and thats because the Jewish lobby controls Congress.

For instance Japan paid for much of Palestinian civil infrastructure. France has provided a home for Yasser Arafat's family for decades.

If the Muslims and Arabs can choose which UN resolutions they want to support, including UN resolutions pertaining to Israel's right to exist as a sovereign independent nation, then the Israelis are free to choose which UN resolutions they wish to follow too.

Yellow bananas like you really have inferiority complex. China can do a lot more than you think. People in the world are the same. If you get your act together and have an effective language to communicate,you can do a lot of things. Look at the Japanese. Looked down upon. Now they returning the same conceit as the West. If China had not bullied a relatively tiny nation called the Philippines over a 2 months period with their Navy they would not have to face this embarrassment. This is what happens to bullies - the naming and shaming is the only thing left for a defenceless kid in the school yard. What else could the Philippines do - throw coconut at the Chinese Navy?

Actually its in everyone's interest for China to become a super power. It help keeps the the US and the Russians in check and provides the balance and stability that the Whord needs.
