China may build and run port klang T3 under the ' one belt one road' project. If it really true, then it a sign that china intends to bypass sinkieland and sideline us. Currently psa is heavily dependent on China's transshipment volume. If china has a stake in port klang, it quite likely they will divert their containers to malaysia. If this happens, our status as the regional shipping hub will be undermined.

Singapore tells China to obey the PAC ruling. China will just help Thailand to cut the Isthmus of Kra and PSA will really be dead.

In malaysia and if their nasi mat yoyo still running most of the ops, then the turnover of the vessel is slower. Cost maybe cheap but slow. Usually vessel stays for few days before sailing.

Psa high cost but faster. Turnover 1 day. Usually the next day vessel ready to sail.

If china cuts down the volume, it really hurts and the bonus for the psa staff.

Tanjong Pelapas been growing and growing while Psa been stagnant even shrinking....
Now no more dare to blow trumpet as most chink ports all supercede Psa.
Tried to go overseas like Hongkies and failed miserably with investments in Yemen not talked about anymore.
Tried to buy over competition but kena outbid by Arabs.
Even national flag shipper NOL also sold.
Writings been on the wall a long time coming....
Like most things in Sg it going to the dogs and getting fucked under pap management

Anyone want to try telling China to support Chinese majority country and not divert to Malaysia port?

But this time round the Chinese will likely have a major say in the port operations. Psa in the past claimed to be the largest port in the world but no longer they are bragging about this because all overtaken by Chinese ports.

TPP growing but they can't handle the volume. So maerskline still need to call at psa.

Don't think Chinese will take what our position on PCA ruling kindly. It better not to mention that we are Chinese majority because we will be seen as traitor. Malaysia at least is singing a different tune by inviting china to develop port klang instead of pointing fingers.

It has something that they have done in a number of African countries - building airports, rail system etc and running it. And you are right that it will undermine us. They do it to run a political agenda.

So Psa gets business by default not due to competent management. That's depending on luck.
And mudland will catch up sooner or later....then what? Maybe indons will wise up and set up a port too.
Sg's been on autopilot for too long.....pap lost the plot long ago

Maerskline has a stake in TPP and if they have a choice, do you think they want to berth in psa?

Yes. They took a stake in TPP after they were rejected by Psa.
Another masterstoke landmark decision by world class pap cronies management.

Like I said Malaysia govt is very smart and looks like they are very good politicians. If not how come najib can play golf with Obama and yet no problem inviting China to develop port klang?

nothing to worry about. we have a team of underpaid geniuses who can come out with great money making and job creating ideas for the vacant port land.
