Serious South China Sea Situation Is Serious

SCS is a serious matter for PAP.

China has rejected PAC's arbitration and therefore its judgement. This is expected as Russia, USA. as superpowers, have demonstrated previously that they too do allow themselves to such arbitration as they can be politically rigged. Therefore, it is not surprising that China, as a superpower do not agree with such arbitration.

What makes USA, Philippines and PAC think that they can subject China to their judgement?

Now PAP has to decide whether it will side with USA or China in the SCS issue.

China and USA will tell each country...either you are with me or against me. Taiwan has declared that it is against PAC's judgement. Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar are likely to agree with China that PAC's judgement doesnt bind China. Philippines has said that it agrees to dialogue with China to settle the issue.

What will pap officially say now? Side USA or side China? Either decision has its consequences. LHL needs wisdom and cant just depend on his whims and fancy

Pap risk irking china over the matter. The 5 major power in unsc don't recognize international court and had previously ignored it rulings. So who is going to enforce the law? If China continue on it reclamation, what USA going to do? Interfere and risk an arm conflict which doesn't work in her interests. But if USA does nothing or back off, it will damage their standing especially amongst their allies. And if sinkieland allows their changi naval base to be used by usn in times of conflict with china, that will also make us a legitimate military target.

Yes, China is right to ignore PAC's ruling as the other Superpowers did too.

Philippines knows and will not push. USA will make noise and give verbal support to Philippines. Little LHL may unwisely shout loudest against China. I bet many other countries will just keep quiet and let the judgement be a non event.

Anyway, China will not be compelled to obey a tribunal which it does not recognise.

I think China cant back out if confronted in its declared sovereignty zone. So a shootout is high probable if USA continues to instigate. Clear minds must prevail or else many will be hurt

Sending the case to pac was a silly move and a lose-lose proposition for everyone.

china wont adhere to the ruling and may in fact build more artificial islands and declare ADIZ in SCS. USA will be pushed on a collision course with prc. If US does nothing they risks damaging their reputation. So it a catch-22 situation for them.

Pinoyland though won the case will gain absolutely nothing more than a paper victory. Not only so they get sideline by china economically.

Asean had already render themselves as a disunited and useless organization over the issue simply because some member states dont have a stake here.

China will also tarnish her reputation if she ignores the ruling.

ASEAN is divided and disunited. Today, ASEAN has decided officially to keep mum abt PAC's ruling. That silence speaks plenty of ASEAN, PAC, China and USA

I would rather sinkieland be nuked by the commie chinks. The whole overseas chink diaspora would be set in flames. Taiwan would burn and so would Hongkong. The whole of ASEAN would go up in smoke. South Korea, Japan and India would be put on high military alert against China.
