They used to have in the past, in the bank, the big size bayi with the big shot gun.....all the bank branches, have Cisco guards that carry loaded firearms....there used to be in the past...shot guns...

Now you don't need them?....all you need is a note...you can rob a bank...wow! :rolleyes:

Every bank branch have armed guard on duty; what can be disturbing are the age group some of these guards on duty and the lack of dexterity they will have in many situation. Apart from the fact that many may be foreigners; the question on professionalism lingers on everybody's mind. Everyone would ask why did the guard did not react to a situation when he had the upper hand by being better armed against a lone ang mo robber.

Seriously the whole incident reeks more questions on the standards/competency of security companies in Singapore. It showcased the general mentality of the company and staff that nothing could possibly happen in safe and comfortable Singapore. Many things are taken from granted.
