This is the thread for the cheongsters after nightclub closures, those in the late night trades, people doing projects and IT fixes late into the night and insomniacs.

1. West - Jurong Fishery Port. In those days only this joint was open in the whole western part of Singapore. It had a very small hawker centre )more like few stalls in a row). Only the freshly steamed pau were worth it.

2. West - Later came Mt Faber Nasi Lemak where you drive up Mt Faber Road at buy from their garage kitchen. Fresh and the Filipinos are very friendly - extra smile and politeness gets you extra fried ikan tuning.

3. West - Much later came Power Nasi Lemak at Boon Lay Place

4. Centre - A number of Teochew Porridge stalls in Tiong Bahru and Havelock serving the niteclub clients, mama sans and ladies of the night residing at Condos in River Valley. All good.

5. Centre - Black carrot cake in Chinatown from a pushcart. Owner later opened stall at Rasa Singapura at the invitation of STPB. Later got murdered over his loan business.

6. Centre - Gluttons Square, Orchard Road carpark, old territory. One Killer Hokkein Mee stall

7. Centre - Telok Ayer Market, bumboats operators to everyone else

7. East - Dawoods - legend among school boys, dating couples and husbands after a quarrel - cheap, good and always bump into kakis.

8. East - Changi Vilage - just before midnight

Not sure why but never ventured North. It was also an era when roadside pushcart stalls were all over the place Some operated after midnight.
