Chitchat Brexit, and its aftermath

As we count the hours to see the result of the polls, lets see what led to this referendum.

British citizens became increasingly weary of EU over the increasingly loss of its sovereignty in particular in the area of Human Rights where the laws were set by EU Parliament and interpreted by the EU courts. Rapists, terrorists and even murderers who were not UK citizens could not be deported if they had a child out of wedlock or married a citizen etc. Welfare grants and doles that was made available to citizens had to be given to EU citizens who went to the UK. And EU citizens began using tax payer funded lawyers to fight their case in EU courts.

Those who want UK to remain in EU have become interestingly and strange bedfellows. The bleeding heart liberals, Labour supporters and Capitalists want to remain in the EU for their own agendas. For Capitalist, they need the cheap labour from Poland and the Eastern European member countries to run their factories, man their retail shops and work in zero hour contract terms. Labour needs these workers who traditionally votes for them. The Liberals are driven by principles and want to retain human rights including giving money to everyone that cries.

So who exactly is supporting the Brexit. Well its those in the middle class who have seen their contribution to National Health and Insurance over the years of toil being eroded by new arrivals from the EU. The Tories who law making ability has been twarted repeatedly by EU interpretation of Human Rights laws.

So why is Human Rights EU laws have such a wide impact. Well it cuts across the entire criminal enforcement, prosecution and finally conviction and custodian framework. Criminals and the Legal fraternity have used EU laws to milk the system and enrich themselves. The same EU Human Laws forces UK to give access to EU citizens to its Health and Welfare benefits without contributing a penny. Even more interesting is Non UK and Non EU citizens like those from Nigeria who have criminal convictions have sought relief from EU courts to stop deportation. Same EU laws are used by Non UK Citizens and Non EU citizens to gain access to health and welfare benefits citing human rights issues.

Thatcher's decision to stop the UK giving up its Sterling to join the Euros as a common currency has proved that UK can sustain itself in a common market without sacrificing everything.

Interestingly the various states in the US federal system have comparatively more state sovereignty than the UK. These States can decide on a raft of laws that differ from state to state in the US. Its not the case for the UK.

It will be close to the wire. Lets see what happens in the next few hours.

Re: Brexit - Britain exit from the EU - What does it mean?

One of the key catalyst towards Brexit is well known convicted terrorist Abu Hamza Masri who was the preacher of Finbury Mosque. He had come to the UK as student from Egypt and married a local girl. He had gone to Afghanistan, Pakistan and had been immersed in terrorist activities. When the US sought his extradition in 2006, it led to a 8 year battle where he used his tax payer funded lawyers to get the EU courts to thwart even attempt. He finally ended up in the US where he is imprisoned for life.

While in the UK, the local council had to rent and pay for bungalow forces family because he had so many kids and normal council flat could not accommodate the family of 9. Its was estimated that the state coughed up £2.6 of taxpayers money including his legal bill. Every time the EU stopped the UK Govt latest attempt to deport him, it was played out in the press and people got fed up. Even the Queen became frustrated.

Don't be surprised if the Brits also prefer to keep the status quo and not risk change like our locals.

UK reclaims its sovereignty - Watch the country shape its future

It will interestingly to see how the citizens of the UK redefine their vision and shape their future. This was a referendum and not another election. The Tories led UK entry into the EU in 1973. The labour held a referendum in 1975 and people agreed to remain within the Eu by an overwhelming 67%. 43 years later, the people again decided.

What to watch out for in UK for the next 5 years
- How UK will define its foreign policy
- How UK will participate in an economic EU common market
- How the UK economy will fare especially its financial sector which is the largest in the World
- How their businessmen will fare now that their cheap supply of labour will now come with constraints

Others to watch for
- How will Germany and France fare as the defacto leaders of the EU.

u know when the poll is split so evenly down the middle,it just mean the British public have no clue what they want either.yes or no is about just as attractive to them as a coinflip.

i have no idea exactly what are the economic implications of UK leaving the EU,nobody can tell.that itself is the biggest problem.Economics is the only thing that matters not politics not laws not rights or constitutions or anything.the only thing that matters in the world is economics and trade.now if u ask me whether or not Greece should leave the EU,the answer is obviously clear.

I congratulate UK citizens for having the courage to vote for best interest of UK and its citizens. Wealth benefits greedy people and is not necessarily good for the citizens. So Brexit is good for UK citizens in the long run. Less profits for businesses but overall good for the people.

Will Brexit cause other EU countries to consider leaving too?

GOOD news.
let the rich becomes poorer
and the poor has the chance to reset the competition because current EU system only benefits the rich and squeezing out the middle and lower income group.

Xi Jin Peng will be scared because GBP is lower and chances are made in britain is cheaper than made in china

Re: Breaking News: Britain has voted to leave EU

chances are the poor will become poorer in any financial crisis because they are the stupidest and the least informed and the most clueless.....dont worry peter lim will come out way ahead because he is ten steps ahead in his financial strategising,u only have to be one step ahead of daft peasants but he is ten steps ahead.

the way he structured the deal in johor iskandar project was pure genius,he himself risking not a single dollar and pushing all the risk to peasants and standing a chance to make over 300 million.if u have the midas touch to make money like that from palm oil to raffles medical center to iskandar to logistics to fashion and real estate, man u can do whatever u want even flush 750 mil down a italian football club.

Re: UK reclaims its sovereignty - Watch the country shape its future

It is an interesting referendum as all the major political parties wanted the UK to remain but the people said no. I agree that it will be good for the people. It should never be about maximising profits.

France is quite an interesting case as they have managed to controls their laws very well compared to the UK. Most of the refugee who enter Europe gather at Dover to enter UK but do not want to remain in France as the benefits are not so good. So France will stay and Germany as well as they need the bigger market more as they are a major manufacturing hub.

What it will however lead to is that EU can no longer toy around with a country's sovereignty as they did in the past. The focus will now be on the common market and less inference with a country's laws. They will also have be strict with their admission rules. Greece was admitted with fudged economics figures and they became a drink on others.

What will happen when Wall Street, London, Paris market open
“The exit poll results [for “Brexit”] should be available to the hedge funds before markets close on Thursday. If Leave wins, we may see a huge collapse in stock prices, the pound sterling, and the euro on late Thursday. We could also see a spike in the price of gold.”
Well, Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers… and Billionaire George Soros are forecasting something similar….
They said when the clock strikes 5:00pm EST tomorrow, a “Black Friday” could quickly follow…
The time is quickly approaching. You have less than 24 hours to act on my instructions.

Re: UK reclaims its sovereignty - Watch the country shape its future

how uk will define its foreign policy?

British should go back to being a colonial superpower again, lots of countries waiting to sign up,Singapore,Malaysia, straits settlements, hong kong, australia, borneo, fiji, india, and african colonies.british will have extensive network of trade hubs and become economic superpower again, and many of us already speak english too.no need for preparation, just reheat and serve.natives are already pre colonized.
