The girls were lucky the incident was not settled with the Police, if that happens , they have a police record.

So they are pretty much ok, if they haven't made fun of the "mug shots", it would have been forgotten right there at that shopping mall.

The fact that Platinum Mall has that "mug shot" prop, it meant shoplifting there is a everyday affair.

Can't charge them in Singapore as it is not within jurisdiction. Only selected crimes such as underaged sex no matter where in the world can be charged locally.

Yeah, they should count themselves lucky. The Police there like many countries tend to sort it out themselves and I guess the only deterrent is to paste the mugshots and ban them from entering the complex.

$190 is real bargain compared to going thru the Police procedures, sit in lock-up, parents fly in etc. The shop owner spent 3 hrs searching for them in a different complex. They are paid staff and must account for the missing stuff.
