Someone in HWZ reporting that Murali has gone missing in action!

If Dr Chee has won, pretty sure he will look into it within the day since he is unemployed and can be the full time MP.

LOL! People treat their MPs like some kind of contractor manager. Make sure the lifts are serviced, make sure the lift door damage is repaired, make sure the void decks and HDB common areas are cleaned regularly.
This type of thing must vote for such a person meh?
Singaporeans have no idea what MPs are for really. What a joke. Anyway I don't think Dr Chee was aiming to get into parliament to be a contractor manager either. So good that they did not vote for him.

The moment PAP put the town councils under the MP by law, they made the link. The desire was to deter good candidates from entering politics on the opposition side. Singapore's model is deviation from the Westminster model in this regard.

You should red the locals papers to get a flavour of this model. Resident injured in lift, PAP MP visit him in hospital etc. provides details of what they are going to do about the faulty lift. Its gone beyond silly.

This system of government is going to kill singapore. Instead of letting MP's be lawmakers, it has relegated them to be real estate managers. Singaporeans will be voting for estate managers rather than law makers.

The effect of bad government is already showing...joblessness, not competitive businesses, etc

Agree. When PAP MP Zainal had to give his personal phone number of the son of the victim and when Cabinet Minister Tharman went to the house of the women who was also another victim of faulty lift, I thought the system has gone mad. Instead of focusing on legislation and running the govt, they are handling housing maintenance issue. Can you imagine UK PM David Cameron visiting his constituency resident about a faulty bus-stop falling on them.

The pap is bogged down ny the monkey system LKY has created to entrench the pap in power. The PAP didnt have the foresight to see that the monkey it has created to bog down the Opposition has grown into a gorilla and it has devoured even its best MP. They have lost sight of their vision and mission as an MP and instead has gone down the path to be a real estate manager.

I think slow rot is worse than sudden death. At least when Malaysia chucked us out it clarified the mind and forced us to be creative. Singapore really has enough talent and resources to make it work today. We are being held back by an arthritic political system set up by a Machiavellian mind and now being run by heirs who do not have his devious talents to make it work. This has become a crony system without few attendant benefits to the people and in fact may cause great harm. Singaporeans are really stupid and deserve to get shafted.

Agree. Bogging political leaders down with real estate and maintenance duties is selfish and killing the SG system. Political leaders have more important jobs to do than to look at cleanliness, maintenance of lifts, painting of HDB flats, etc. These used to be the job of HDB, PWD, etc. And they worked well.

PAP wants people to think that they hv done a good job. I differ. I believe PAP has killed SG system. Singaporeans better wake up and resuscitate the SG system

He told BB residents he is not going to work full time. BB residents didn't mind. Both happy with the outcome. Any outcome of running or not running the estate has already been agreed and accepted thru the ballot box.
