Too many people just go with the flow instead of doing basic research. Since the popular apps will always cater to the lowest common denominator in order to gain mass appeal you can be assured that they are never the most secure or the best thought out.

Wechat for example is even worse. It has built in back doors for the authorities to access whenever necessary. I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole but millions of chinks use it because it's best app to find pussy on.

Well said. As always Bossman Sam's insightful comments are spot on.

Agree on iMessage. Apple controls it well so no abuse to date. Also not attached to device and you can receive messages on a whole host of devices such as laptops and it is synchronised so if you respond in one device all others are in line.
What'sapp also can use on laptop what unker. You dunno what is web whatsapp meh? Just google can find the site and you can use it on as many pcs/devices as you want.

Got some numbers spamming these two numbers: 8190 7021 / 8276 1906

Modus operandi was simple: mass addition of mobile numbers in a WhatsApp chat group, blast the message and then removing the participants from the list.

What is the SPF doing to curb these TWITS from spamming our mobile? What underlies is something more disturbing and something more sinister. Has the SPF gone soft on these ah longs and "private financial entities" when the latter gone high tech?

Tsk...

got moneylenders wapping me but I re direct to the Police as it is in breach ofSP DNC
Police not doing much or cannot do much.......... but I put fear into them by copying to MP who is a minister

under facebook they fixed some security issues that now renders it less risky than a couple of years before. for example, they finally implement ssl pinning. one of their previous 3 problems involved the enabling of ssl export ciphers. they used a weak algorithm involving so called end to end encryption but with the similar key on both ends. codebreakers could easily analyze the garbled content and decipher the key. the other 2 were enablement of null cipher (obviously a problem) and the use of sslv2 which has security holes with mac post-encryption and 40-bit macs. afterall it's a mac-based app.

it's still not 100% secure. but if you're not messaging your bank accounts and pins and passwords to your lover, it's a useful app to circumvent paying roaming charges for talk and text when you travel to a cuntry with operators which have lousy roaming agreements with your home cellular provider. for a few days stay in the crappy cuntry there's no need to get a pirated prepaid sim from an alley nor subscribe to a local cellular service to eliminate hefty roaming charges. but you have to have free wi-fi as data roaming charges will be worse than talk and text (sms) and make you cry.

for the uninitiated one has to go to the official site and sign in for web whatsapp. no downloads. there are many similar looking sites that pretend to be the web whatsapp page and trick one into downloading malware. the other problems that whatsapp has not resolved are the big message (7mb) and small message (2k) issues. both message sizes can crash the app when one opens the thread. best is to delete thread and start over. the other vulnerabilities are mac-spoofing by mspy software and man in middle sniffing by whatspy public. in mac-spoofing, mspy can temporarily assign itself the mac address of target and receive your content post-encryption. whatspy public is an app that does analytics on whatsapp traffic in transit.

Alamak just see the url la. If it isn't web whatsapp url obviously it's a spoof site.

what do you mean crash the app? Whatsapp itself or web whatsapp? How to crash that?

Also you only sign in once. Once you have signed in you don't need to sign in again unless of course you're using it on a public computer and would have to sign out but then again who would do that.

One bad thing is your phone whatsapp needs to be connected for webwhatsapp to work unlike line.

try sending a message at 6.9mb and gradually ratchet up. orgasm will arrive at 7mb and then anti-climax after that with a crash.

A msg at 6.9mb isn't just a text msg it contains video or it's a song and fyi only android whatsapp can send sound/music files without rooting/JB.
